Ocean

I don’t know how,
I don’t know why,
But life is an ocean,
With everything floating by.

Sometimes you have a ripple,
Which isn’t a big deal.
But then there comes a tidal wave,
That’s too overwhelming to feel.

Sometimes there are happy waves,
Calmly crashing when the pace is slow.
When everything is quiet,
As you watch the suns soft glow.

Other times it hurts,
A hurricane on the shore.
When all you want to do is cry,
Ignore others, and lock the door.

That’s why friends are here,
To keep you in between tides,
The ones who will stand by you,
Not someone who runs and hides.

Good and bad moods pass come and go,
Just as the seas change, too.
Loose yourself with friends when tsunamis come,
But when waves are small, save drowning friends near you.
