VERSE 1:
There you are, there you are,
So close but still so far.
You look at me, standing here.
I look back with rising fear.
Feel butterflies, and give a smile.
Hoping you’ll stay there awhile.
Things get awkward fast,
So I leave before it lasts…
REFRAIN:
Can’t you see, sparks are flying?
And inside I might be dying.
I’m confused with what we have,
Is it good? Or is it bad?
Are we friends, or is it more?
Should we stay, or explore?
Do I like you? Do you like me?
You kill my curiosity.
VERSE 2:
I make my hair look nice,
But it feels like I’m rolling dice…
When you look, I get chills to the bone,
But nothings written in stone.
How do I know if you’re for real?
How do I know what is you’re deal?
Are we meant to be?
Is there something we can’t see?
REFRAIN
VERSE 3:
How did you figure this out? (Was it obvious?)
Did you think that I had any doubts?
You’re the one that I need,
So why are you making me bleed?
Or do you even know?
Or do I have to show…
That we were meant to be!
REFRAIN
FINAL VERSE:
Can’t you see, sparks are flying?
And inside, I might be dying.
Do you know how I feel?
Do you feel it, too? Is it real? (Is it real?)
Do you like me the way I feel for you?
Do you feel the same way I do?
Do you need me like I need you?
Do you need me like I do?

Beach
The soft earth below me is firm but gives way,
Showing my footprints as I walk each day.
Slowly and carefully I creep on the sand,
Avoiding each rock on my way back to land.
The waves and red sky lay before me,
Enjoying each moment is the key.
The calming breeze streams through my hair,
Wiping away my every care.
The setting sun is a dimming ember,
This place is public, no special members.
The ocean waves crashing, so strong and slow,
As I look down and see the different shells, below.
Small specks of sand dance around me,
This is peaceful and quiet, unlike the city.
My way to relax is this,
I am in my bliss.
I’m standing here, watching the night unfold,
The only sun left is a sliver of gold.
The day has come to an end,
I smile, reflecting, as I turn the bend.

My way to relax is this,
I am in my bliss.
I’m standing here, watching the night unfold,
The only sun left is a sliver of gold.
The day has come to an end,
I smile, reflecting, as I turn the bend.

Raindrops
Let it rain, let all my spirits fall with it
Let it wash everything down, to a clean start
For only a little while, it looks so depressing
But if you listen, you can hear the amazing sounds within
Let it rain, as I slowly look up
Let it cleanse me of all I’ve done
For only a little while, feel time freeze
But if you listen, you can still hear the rhythm
Raindrops fall with a steady beat
As if it’s drumming the ground
I hear the music within
Giving the world a second chance to watch
No one sees what I see
No one hears what I hear
The rain is soothing to only few people
It gives many people an escape they do not take
No one sees the world I see
No one hears the songs I hear
The rain is trying to help
It gives many people a song, but they never listen
Many are scared of it
Many are to busy to see it
It’s the simple pleasure of a second chance
That no one bothers to even notice
Many are annoyed by it
Many are mad at it
It’s the simplicity of rain
That no one bothers to even notice
Puppet Strings
I am a puppet on strings that longs to be free,
Controlled by one or another, I just can’t be me.
I get to be myself for a while,
Lost in my rhythms, away from exile.
But soon I’m pulled from both directions,
They are trying to show me their affections.
Pulled until the strings snap,
Pointed in so many directions without a map.
I’m okay, but not always with pride,
Maybe I’m being sucked into the tide.
Just a puppet on strings still sitting there,
Many people over flooding with care.
I can control myself now, but can you?
Trying to make me do the things you want me to.
Friends
We each have our own group of friends,
But we’ll be there for each other until the end.
It kills me that we’ve been growing apart,
But we can restore our friendship if we open our hearts.
I hope you feel the same way,
And we can have our old friendship back again some soon day.
Many has changed for the both of us,
Some things are lost under the dust.
I’m glad I have you back,
We need to make a pact.
That you’ll be there, and so will I,
Forever friends, until we die.
Sunset
The yellow is the sun setting down,
The red is the fiery glow around.
But the impact across the sky,
Shines on clouds slowly passing by.
Made from two different colors that came together,
An individual is made, but won’t last forever.
Not forgotten, the mixture comes back each day,
For an image that will forever stay.
The red is the fiery glow around.
But the impact across the sky,
Shines on clouds slowly passing by.
Made from two different colors that came together,
An individual is made, but won’t last forever.
Not forgotten, the mixture comes back each day,
For an image that will forever stay.
